Governance Mechanism
Decision-Making Process
Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO)
Memes.ac will be governed through a DAO structure, where $MEMES token holders have the power to influence and decide on key aspects of the platform's development and operations. This decentralized approach ensures that the community has a direct say in the platform's future, aligning the interests of the platform with those of its users.
Proposal Submission
Any $MEMES token holder can submit proposals for new features, policy changes, partnerships, or other significant decisions. Proposals must include a detailed description and the potential impact on the platform.
Proposal Review
Proposals undergo an initial review by a designated council of community-elected representatives to ensure they are well-structured and relevant. This council acts as a filter to prevent spam and irrelevant proposals from reaching the voting stage.
Voting
Reviewed proposals are put to a vote. Each $MEMES token represents one vote, allowing token holders to cast their votes proportionate to their holdings. Voting periods last for a fixed duration, typically two weeks.
Implementation
Proposals that receive a majority vote (over 50%) are approved for implementation. The development team then prioritizes and schedules the approved changes or initiatives.
Community Involvement
Incentives for Participation
Active participants in governance, such as those who submit valuable proposals or contribute to discussions, are rewarded with $MEMES tokens. This incentivizes meaningful engagement and ensures that community members are motivated to contribute constructively.
Transparency
All proposals, discussions, and voting results are publicly accessible on the platform, ensuring complete transparency in the decision-making process. This builds trust and accountability within the community.
Regular Updates
The development team provides regular updates on the progress of implemented proposals, upcoming voting events, and other governance-related activities. This keeps the community informed and engaged.
